Perimenopause Treatment

All women reaching the mid forties and sometimes earlier, will start noticing the first symptoms of  the perimenopause  phase of their lives and as a result, they start looking into perimenopause treatment as soon as possible.

There are a variety of symptoms and  there are also different ways to deal with them.

– Hormonal TherapyPerimenopause Treatment

– Natural Menopause Treatment

– Menopause and Weight Gain

Many of the menopause symptoms tend to be quite common to all the women going through this moment of their lives. The menopause symptoms are mainly caused  by a drop of the amount of a  hormone called estrogen in the woman body.

The symptoms include hot flashes, mood swings, sleepless nights, memory problems, vaginal dryness, lack of sex drive, depression, etc.

Not all the symptoms affect all women or affect them with the same intensity.

Hormonal Therapy

Menopause is a natural process of life and, in most cases, only women with severe symptons will need to undertake hormonal therapy.

Hormonal therapy is a treatment consisting of the administration of estrogen or a combination of estrogen and progesterone. The hormonal treatment can be taken in many forms: pills, gels, skin patches, etc.

It is only your doctor who should decide on whether hormonal therapy is suitable for you ; often the decision is based on the intensity of your symptons and your personal health records.

Natural Menopause Treatment

To relieve the unpleasant symptons that affect all women during menopause with more or less intensity, many of them turn to natural herbal remedies:

Herbal Menopause Remedies

There are many types of natural solutions in the market and its popularity is increasing due to the fact that they not only seem to provide substantial relief to menopause symptoms, but they are also safe and free from worrying side-effects.

Menozac is, at this moment, one of the most popular among these herbal solutions.

Menozac is a blend of natural extracts designed to relief pre-menopause symptoms. Its main active ingredients are black cohosh and soy phytoestrogens. Both of these herbal ingredients are widely used as natural remedies for hot flashes, disrupted sleep, moodiness, etc.

Black cohosh is widely used to foster and balance the strogen levels in the body while phytoestrogens, also known as soya  isoflavones, mimic the effects of strogens in the body.  According to some studies, phytoestrogens have a considerable capability to reduce and mitigate the most common pre-menopause symptons like hot flashes, irritability and disrupted sleep.

Menozac also contains vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant and it is also related to the reduction hot flashes.

Acupressure for Menopause Symptoms

An alternative natural way to find relief for many of the perimenopause symptons is through acupressure.  Acupressure, like acupuncture, is an ancient Asian technique developed more  than 2.000 years ago.

It uses the same body points and ‘meridiens’ than acupuncture but instead of employing needles, the acupressure therapy uses the power of hands and fingers to make pressure at different levels on specific points of the body.

Once you have learnt the techniques and the areas of the body you need to treat, it’s very easy and has the added benefit that you can apply it  in the comfort of your home and, eventually, use the same techniques to mitigate other sources of pain or discomfort.

For those who have already tried the benefits of acupuncture or acupressure to deal with other ailments,  I have no doubt that they will choose this natural method  as their best choice to alleviate their symptons.

Natural menopause is a guide written by an experienced certified acupressure therapist that describes with easy to follow steps more than 50 techniques that you can easily applied to yourself to reduce anxiety, disrupted sleep, food cravings, chronic fatigue, hot flashes, etc.

Menopause Weight Gain

With menopause you are likely, rather unfortunately, to gain some weight.

The drop of estrogen promotes the accumulation of fat deposits. I personally found this extra and undeserved weight gain one of the “worst” symptons for me!

I had been able to cope with hot flashes and sleepless nights, but discovering in a matter of a few months that for no reason I was unable to fit into my jeans was soul-destroying. It took me time and serious efforts to shed the extra pounds. For some strange reason, what was so easily gained seemed to be impossible to get rid of.

I looked around for specific solutions for menopause weight gain, and though I have researched some products who claimed to tackle the problem of the extra pounds you gain during pre-menopause, none of the several specific products I looked up or even tried myself have shown any real results in reducing or preventing gaining weight during menopause.

So the solution is to make a point of eating healthily, sticking to low fat meals and increasing the amount of exercise you practice.

To do regular exercise will be positive not only because you will burn body fat, accelerate your metabolism and increase your energy-levels but because it will also help to strengthen your bones, whose density is going to be affected by the drop of estrogen in your body.

You don’t need to go over the top when it comes to working out. Just getting in the routine of exercising for 3 or 4 times a week for less than an hour will do. If you don’t like or simply do not have time to go the gym, remember than just going for a brisk walk for 20 or 30 minutes every day is one of the healthiest, safest and, from the economics point of view, cheapest exercise you can do.

So, if you go on a weight loss diet, take into account that you should not reduce the amount of calcium you intake. On the contrary, you should be taking between 1,200–1,500 milligrams daily:  dairy skimmed products are going to be your best allies.

To help with your weight control you can take some weight-loss supplements. If you find difficulty in controlling your appetite, you should look for natural appetite suppressants such as African Mango supplements.

If you are already overweight, then during pre-menopause things will unfortunately get worst, so a fat blocker could be the best diet supplement for you.  As a fat blocker, Alli is one of the most effective and right now, the number one seller in the market. Click here to read the Alli review.

If you notice that your digestive system is slowing down (which is also affected by the drop of strogens) and you prefer to follow a detox diet, you should go for a good and safe  detox colonic cleanser like Digest It. Following a detox diet will help you to shed some extra pounds as soon as your body starts to regularly get rid of any accumulation of  waste and toxins and excess water retention.

Following a low-fat  and rich-fiber diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and bran cereals together with Digest it,  you will not only lose weight but clean your system, eliminate toxins and reduce water retention. As an added bonus, Digest it offers a free membership to an online fitness and weight management club.

Perimenopause and the Blues

During perimenopause you will experience that your periods become irregular or even stop for months. But, perimenopause  is a process that lasts for years, so do not throw away your spare tampax or sanitary towels because you will need them again when you least expect it. Although your fertility has decreased considerably, you are still at risk of becoming pregnant  if not taking any preventive measures.

Many women go through episodes of depression and a sense of emptiness when they start feeling their menopause symptons. These feelings are often caused not only because of the  hormonal changes taking place in their bodies, but due to emotional feelings and cultural beliefs related to a sense of aging; it’s as if they were getting to the end of “the best “ of their lives.

This was true years ago. Being close to or over 50 years old was like being at the end of the life for women and men alike not that long ago (the expectancy of life at the beginning of the twentieth century was under 50 years in what we call now the Western world).

Things have changed so dramatically in terms of hygiene standards, nutrition and illness prevention and treatments during the last hundred years that today a mid-forties person has made only half of the way.

And although right now you may find it difficult to believe, numerous studies and research show that your chances of being happier and enjoying life are higher from now on than in your previous 40 years. So get ready to make the most out of the best time of your life!
