Can Anybody Access my Private Records on the Withings site?

The Withings website uses what is known as 128-bit SSL encryption which is exactly the same technology used for accessing your online bank details. So your data is more than secure and quite safe.

Do I need to be a Techy to Set it up?

The Withings WiFi body scale is very easy to set up and by following the installation instructions that come with it , you will be up and running in just a few minutes. The scale’s WiFi software is compatible with all private WiFi access points (but it will not work in public ones).

The scale also comes with a USB cable that you have to connect to your computer. It  has a weight capacity of 396 lbs (180 kg) with 0.2 lbs  (0.1 kg.) increments and can be setup to show either Imperial or Metric measurements.

The scale is built to be used in humid rooms like bathrooms, although its design is so sleek and smart that you could literally put it next to your latest gadgets collection and many of your friends may not even notice that it is an scale!

As mentioned above the scale functions with 4 AAA batteries that last for several months, depending on how often and how many people use the scale. In your user account you can get an estimation of how much battery life is left in the scale.

The only downside is the price which is higher than what the average body monitor would cost you but hardly surprising given it’s unique features and position in the marketplace.

The Withings WiFi Scale is not the average scale or monitor and the sheer amount of convenient functionalities that it offers makes it a worthwhile purchase for anybody who is serious about checking and monitoring their fitness goals in a consistent way with easy access wherever you happen to be.
